Volume Snapshot 'parking'

Posted: March 26th, 2018

Volume Snapshot 'parking' is an easy, cost-efficient way to store hard drive content from your cloud server. It can also provide a bare metal, backup solution. A volume snapshot can be created within minutes. The cloud server can then be closed (deleted), ceasing all charges related to CPU and RAM. The volume snapshot will be billed based on volume alone and a new server can quickly be deployed with the snapshot whenever needed.

As an easy backup solution, you can create a new volume snapshot for your cloud server and update it by deleting the snapshot only, and recreating a new snapshot every time you wish to have a new backup. This allows for a bare metal restore, simply by deploying a new cloud server based on a volume snapshot.

NOTE: Restoring specific files is not available with type of backup solution.
